Dulquer has emerged as an actor of substance. Rajeev Ravi's actors r flesh & blood like Vinayakan, Manikandan & others.Drawback - Length -2 hours 57 minutes & slow narration.Needs lots of trimming. Has traces of City of God.
Kammattipadam is an in depth study of raise of Cochin as a metro and natural mutation of crime with it.Many major criminal players in it. Like Sobha John major criminal cases like polakulam bar n the land grabbing in kalur-kadavanthra road are mentioned in it.
Haven't seen a south Indian film with such great performances in a long time. And the casting is, i swear, top class.Kammatipaadam is lengthy, but it needs that time to establish its characters which Rajeev Ravi portrays beautifully & realistically and what a performer dulQuer is growing into with each film. KammatiPaadam proves he can ace a role even in his sleep. Excellent work.
A slow burn gangster film almost like "Once upon a time in America(Kerala)" outstanding actors too."Kamadipattam" is running with English subtitles,don't miss it. One of the best gangster/brotherhood films from India . Rajeev Ravi-the boss.
