Jayamravi performance as a local boxer is fitting, trisha is good, supporting her best.Jayam ravi delivers a punching performance, mass commercial flick to enjoy, dialogues are hard-hitting.Good interval block. After NimirunthuNil & ThaniOruvan, audience cheer up for all dialogues throughout, been delivered by jayamravi at ease.
Director tries too hard to become the Indianized version of rocky. The director has borrowed elements from Rocky series & put into one film.Too loud, the only positive aspect is Ravi's earnest performance! He makes us to sit through the film!
A convincing commercial entertainer with a much needed message. Total jayamravi show. Very apt as the local North Madras boxer with a beefed-up body. Plays to the local masses big time.A North Madras boxer takes on a big business shark who looks to exploit boxers every inch for money thro a league.
Needlessly turns very preachy in the end with Jhananathan's dialogues against capitalism & exploitation by businessmen.Srikanth Deva has used variations of the Requiem for a Dream theme & Gladiator theme.. Sigh! Poor. Below-par songs too.
Film is bound to work well in the North Madras area and also with 'masses' in general. Good local connect.
Knockout performance jayamravi an angry boxer who exposes TRP crazy networks.
No songs thrust in. Scene between Ravi & trisha after pulling down shutter is a scream.
Climax well taken, prakashraaj bad guy act terrific Nathan Jones bit of a joke. Ravi has worked hard & it shows on screen.Super knockout performance by Jayam Ravi as dancing boxer! Prakash Raj as usual terrific, Nathan Jones & others too aptly cast!Kudos to Debuntant director Kalyanakrishnan 4 executing it well with authenticity & without much comedy or unnecessary songs!!
It could have been crisper.Nice Boxing based drama with racy & action packed screenplay but a bit exhausting towards the end. Worth watching!
